About Utopic Photography

Utopic Photography developed from a box of old photographs, long before I even owned a camera. The box told the story of my Nan's life in singular moments, the poignancy of which created a permanent shift in my perspective. One that made sense only when I received a brand new point and shoot camera for Christmas. I thought of my own future Grandchildren and the visual legacy I could leave behind.

Years later and having had my own Civil Partnership, I feel privileged to contribute to other people's legacies and be able to capture the memories they will cherish for life. More than just a job, it is an honour to document that life-changing and pivotal moment in your own love story and to be a part of it in the best way I know how.

This philosophy is ever-present in my work - photographs that are often dreamlike but never false. I take a step back and observe without imposing, capturing those very real moments and personalities.
