About Fonmon Castle

A Castle wedding doesn't get much more authentic than at Fonmon Castle!

Dating from the twelfth century, Fonmon has only ever been lived in by two families - in 1656 it was bought by the ancestor of the current owner, Sir Brooke Boothby.

The Castle has many wonderful period features with stunning Georgian interiors. Because it is still a family business and a home, the welcome you and your guests will receive is always warm and a personal one. The Boothby family believe that on the day of your wedding - Fonmon Castle is your home.

All weddings offer exclusive use of the Castle and the extensive gardens, giving many opportunities for memorable moments and wonderful photos.Fonmon Castle does not operate a "red rope" policy and much of the Castle's art and antiques are on show including many rare and old books in the Library. Personal touches can add a unique sparkle to your day such as cutting the cake with the ceremonial sword that  Sir Brooke's father carried at the Investiture of the Prince of Wales.

Fonmon is licensed for civil ceremonies of up to 110 guests and can accommodate up to 80 people for seated wedding breakfasts. Up to 160 can be welcomed for evening receptions with buffets suppers. Many more can be accommodated using a marquee adjoining the Castle.
