Arriving at this magnificent Victorian building is just the start of your memories. Looking upwards from the reception area, the original old wooden beams stretch across the open atrium, while the refurbished interior is filled with calm modern tones and stylish furnishings.
 
  
It’s hard to believe that this impressive building was once part of Cheadle Royal Hospital. Located near south Manchester, at the end of a landscaped business park, Cheadle House is now the perfect backdrop for your wedding but it offers much more than historic grandeur. Here it’s the little details that make all the difference and our experienced wedding coordinator will help plan everything to perfection. Whether it’s your reception, your civil ceremony, or both, we’ll make sure your day is as individual, exciting and memorable as you have always imagined.

Your big day

We offer plenty of choice and flexibility for your ceremony and reception. There is the impressive Whitegate suite, where 80 guests can enjoy a sit-down wedding breakfast. For the longer guest list of 150 we can put together an informal buffet. The adjoining bar opens out to the patio where guests can take their drinks while listening to a string quartet or jazz band – it’s entirely up to you.

A minute’s stroll away is a picturesque lake – a beautiful spot for your wedding photographs. Your guests can also gather in the patio for the ultimate wide-angle shot of the whole wedding party.
 
  
Sensational food for a sparkling occasion

Dining at Cheadle House is all about delicious farm-fresh ingredients and flexible options: enjoy potted brown shrimp and prawns, lemon crème fraiche, fennel and capers or tuck into lamb shoulder with rosemary jus. Finish with a delectable dark chocolate cheesecake or strawberry and champagne torte with fruit coulis – there’s plenty to choose from. We can even arrange for a sizzling barbecue to take place in the patio area.
Our head chef is looking forward to meeting with you to talk through your ideas and if you wish – put together a tailor-made menu. Of course, no meal would be complete without a carefully chosen wine list to complement your meal. We offer a comprehensive choice of wedding packages that offer various treats such as: hot and cold canapés on arrival or Champagne to ‘toast’ the speeches.


During your drinks reception, we’ll keep the conversation flowing with jugs of Pimms, classic Kir Royale or a mulled wine punch. And as the stars come out, guests can boost their energy levels with a tempting evening finger buffet.
 
Your first night as Mr & Mrs

The memories need not end with the last dance. As the party winds down, retire to your stunning penthouse suite, tucked privately away at the back of the house to relax in the sunken bath or have a nightcap on your private balcony under the stars. Where better to start your married life together?

Terms and conditions / additional information

Civil Ceremony

Our 'The Alderley' and 'The Whitegate Suite' is licensed for civil ceremonies so you can hold your entire special day at Cheadle House. The registrar will need to be booked separately, please contact Stockport Registrar for their fees and availability on 0161 217 6007.

Rates

All our rates are valid for weddings held in 2015. Prices for 2016/2017 will be subject to approximately 10% increase - please speak with your wedding coordinator for quotations.

Minimum numbers will apply during peak times.
 
  
Booking

We can provisionally reserve a date for you for up to 7 days without obligation. To confirm a booking we require a 10% deposit and a contract signed by both the bride & groom for minimum numbers within this time.

We would like to offer you the hand of hospitality and ask you to come for a coffee and a tour, where you will be able to view our venue for yourself. You will have time to see the Whitegate Suite, Alderley Restaurant, Mottram Bar, outside courtyard area, meet the team and picture your magical day at our unique venue.
